Preparing for Earl
Based on National Weather Service estimates from 5 p.m. Tuesday, residents of eastern North Carolina may expect to feel the effects of Hurricane Earl with sustained winds in excess of 50 knots (58 mph) beginning late Thursday and lasting into Friday morning.
